Well thought out with meaningful stops. Gary was a pleasure. Lots of Austin history both biographical and architectural. Austin lore combined with a look forward to this quickly expanding city. Truly enjoyable.
Guide was very friendly and willing to share cool history and culture of Austin. It’s a good way to get an overview of the city, get recommendations from a local, and check out spots to return to later.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and walked us through the downtown core providing interesting information and history of the various buildings. She had a very easy going manner and the time seemed to fly.
Loved it. Ended up being a private tour. Lucky us. And two guides for the price of one. Perfect intro to the city
Marlena was our guide and she was awesome! So knowledgeable and personable. We learned a lot and saw so many interesting buildings and sites. Well worth the time!
Marilina was a fantastic tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor.
Excellent tour. Informative on Texas history and the new buildings.
Opportunities to ask questions, great overview of history and culture, Gary was an excellent educator and entertainer!
Our guide was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and sweet. Would reccomend the tour to a friend.
I enjoyed the information on the tour and walking around the city.
Harrison is excellent. Knows Austin history inside out. I highly recommend the tour
Excellent tour guide and a great way to get to know a new city.
Our tour was quite small (only 3 participants... one who was 3 months old), and very enjoyable. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to not only give us the history of the areas that we visited, but also personal anecdotes of growing up in Austin & seeing the changes over the years. This was the best 10$ I spent during my week!
Spent about an hour and a half with our tour guide Gary. My girlfriend and I were visiting Austin from Chicago so we were interested in learning more about the history of the city. Would definitely recommend this tour.
I loved it.
Our tour guide Maralena (sp?) was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, friendly and helpful.
Gary, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and interesting. Had a wide variety of stories and fun facts to make this tour fabulous! Highly recommend!
Lots of interesting information.
Our guide was knowledgeable & pleasant. We got a good overview of the downtown area that helped us navigate easily during our stay
Gary was great and really informative! We learnt a lot about Austin and the different sites.
Outlet guide today tried hard. Seemed a bit rushed at times. Reasonable knowledge
Was great and our tour guide gave alot of fun and interesting information about the town. Perfect for the price
Harrison was a brilliant guide with a huge amount of knowledge of the city pf Austin. We loved the unique perspective that Harrison gave us into Austin and appreciate his openness to our many questions.
I thought it was a really nice experience that added a lot to my trip to Austin! Learned quite a lot about the city and its culture, Harrison was very professional and friendly.
Easy walk & guide shared many interesting facts & stories. Recommend this tour.
Loved it. Patsy was an awesome guide. She didn't just spout the Chamber of Commerce party line, but she clearly loves Austin and I now have a much better appreciation of the city.
Having heard so much about this booming city, I had to come and check it out for myself, and what better way than experiencing the city with a local? Austin truly is a vibrant city, needs to work on its traffic flow, but the star of the tour was my guide Patsy, who was absolutely incredible! Felt less like a tour and more like meeting an old friend for the first time..
We really enjoyed meeting Patsy and touring downtown Austin with her. I appreciated that she called us ahead of time to alert us to a large convention that left no parking spaces available and that she accommodated meeting us in a different location as a result. She was very knowledgeable about the historic and recent developments in the area. Highly recommend her and this tour.
Harrison was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a great way to learn about Austin
Great Tour and history of downtown
Very informative. Great guide. A good mix of information about how the city has changed over the past 40 years.
Patsy warmly welcomed me to the walk by name, which was just one of many ways she demonstrated her high level of professionalism and hospitality. Even though I live in Austin, I had never viewed my community through the lens of a tourist before; it was eye-opening! I'm looking forward to participating in the other walking tours that are offered as well.
Everything one would expect. Informative, concise and efficient.
I was the only participant and Patsy adapted the tour to cover parts of Austin that I had not yet seen. She is passionate about living in Austin and it shows!
I had a great time on my tour this morning. I learned a lot about Austin and got a great overview of things to come back and check out in more depth later. Thanks!
We have seen lot of the little Museums (like O Henry House and the Fire Museum) and walked by The Driskill to the Bremond Block. This tour was great and it gave us much information both on History and the allday life in Austin
My guide Patsy was wonderful. I loved my tour.
We enjoy very tmuch the walking tour in Austin. Our tour guide was excellent and helpful. We could not hope for a beter guide.
Patsy was just wonderful and a credit to the city of Austin to have such an outstanding lady meet visitors and share her knowledge and passion for your tremendous city. Thoroughly recommend to any visitor.
Only when you walk in a town you can really see it !!! Patsy was an excellent quide for as!!! I hope to see her again in the futur in another tour. I will sent to you some beautiful photos !!! The only negative point is the hight temperature of summer in Austin.
Patsy showed us around, told us lots of very interesting facts, answered all our questions
Nice route and lovely tour guide. She shared a bit of history but we passed several historical buildings for which she didn't give the back story. Good tour but could have used a bit more information
