What You'll Do

Make a stop at the Patrick R. Cleburne Memorial Confederate Cemetery and walk among the mass grave containing more than 600 fallen Confederate soldiers. See the Warren House, the site of some of the heaviest fighting in the Battle of Jonesboro. Stop for a photo at the intersection of Rhett Butler and Scarlett Drives. Drive by Ashley Oaks Mansion, a home built in the 1880s and constructed from over 1 million bricks and Stately Oaks Plantation, a home built in 1839 that has an interesting Civil War past.

Excellent tour of Jonesboro’s history during the Civil War and the writing of Gone With The Wind! Our driver was very knowledgeable and the ladies at the Road to Tara Museum were fantastic!
