It was wonderful to hear the history of this magical place from the voice of one of its members. The tour discussed the history and founding members of spiritualism and the spiritual movement.
This tour was insightful, interesting, and fun. Special place!
I truly expected so much more and expected to see so much . I didn’t realize it was just a strip of a few homes that weren’t kept up to date or maintained . The hotel seemed interesting but we weren’t taken in to see the updated facility . I just felt that so much more can be done with that little town and maybe bring it up to speed with and attract more people . I must say I wasn’t happy after flying in from Michigan for 3 hours and then driving their for for 2-1/2 hours . I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to do what we did .
They were very accommodating, even those who arrived late! The slide show was informative but could’ve used some live historial footage or interviews. The walking tour was short. I was expecting to at least go around the block & maybe entire a facility or a working residence.
Our guide was informative and took the time to personalize our experience.
Took the tour today with Jamie. It was fun learning the history of the camp and about spiritualism, in general. Enjoyed hearing Jamie's personal take on things. I'm definitely interested in coming back and learning more.
The tour was not worth $15 it could have been better the whole place
We have been to Cassadaga a few times, but never taken the tour. So happy we made the choice to join it this time! Our tour guide was amazing and we learned alot about how the historical events helped shape the present-day Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. We started out with a quick powerpoint presentation and then went for a walk down the road see the various buildings and ended up at the Temple where we concluded the tour. This is a must-do next time you visit!
Cassadaga is a worthwhile trip. Once we experienced day trip, we decided that we should of planned on staying overnight. Going back as soon as possible, bringing friends.
The tour guide was engaging although she would forget names and wasn’t sure if she’d mention everything or not. Caveat, she did mention she’d only been a tour guide for 6 months. Employers at store seem overwhelmed with the clients with crowded stores.
We enjoyed our tour guide, her knowledge and her bubbly personality.
The tour guide Mary was very knowledgeable and fun to listen.
First time visiting Cassadega, I just wanted to check it out and see what it was all about. This one hour tour is a great intro as to what The Spiritualists are up to in their community. I was not familiar with the religion or philosophy and they kindly guided our group through it all. Everyone was very friendly and open. After the tour you may wander around the camp grounds on your own to explore the fairy garden and more!
Great tour guide, a new experience for families,
The tour guide was awesome. She obviously loves the place and it’s great history. She made our trip (2.5 hours away) worthwhile.
Very informative. The first advertising the Flyers needs to be shorter.
It was so interesting and very informative in the short amount of time
Very informative. GREAT guide. Enjoyed the tour!!!
I look forward to returning on a Sunday and I'll go from there.
Been dying to visit and the tour was a perfect afternoon spent in a very welcoming community
I enjoyed the historic tour very much - out tour guide was so enthusiastic about the Cassadaga Spiritual Camp community. Her love of the community, shown through her narration style, was charming and fun. I learned a lot about Spiritualism and the history of the camp. The one drawback of the whole experience is the mold/mildew obviously present in all the buildings we visited. It permeates the air, is very apparent and in my opinion unhealthy. The Camp needs to address this aspect of their historical buildings because it takes away from the wonder of the place.
Very thorough tour for the price. Guide answered any and all questions and was clear and easy to understand. I would do it again.
Tour guides well prepared, lot of history, pleasant area
Enjoyed the personal experiences from the Tour Guide. She did a great job with a large group of people.
Jamie was genuine and open. She had a large group, but still managed to ensure that everyone felt welcomed. Excellent information and superb guide.
tour was amazing and guide was wonderful!
Not only did it enlighten me on the history of the town, but it enlightened me on my own inner spirituality!
