Guide Donna was fabulous.
She truly enjoys sharing her city with visitors.
We could have spent the entire day with her.
Loved it. On a short visit to Nola this was a great way to get a good overview.
Only complaint was wish we had more time in the Garden District and a little less on Katrina damage as there isnt much to see anymore. But would definitely recommend the tour.
Small bus tour of highlights. Very good. Hit all the high points, knowledgeable, and courteous. First time or need ideas for a more in depth points of interest, then this is the tour.
WS really great. Very educational. Its really fascinating to learn about the levies and see the aftermath of this historic storm. Followed by a tour of the Saint Charles mansions. Clearly two different worlds.
Great experience on this tour. Was picked up at hotel and taken to another bigger bus. The tour guide added his personal experiences that made this even better. Would highly suggest this tour.
Great tour with Gary Huhn. A good combination of the different areas of the city and then after the break we focused on the hardest hit parts of NOLA by hurricane Katrina and that was our favorite part of the tour. Well done and informative.
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide, Dr. Gumbo, was very knowledgeable, gave us a lot of history on the foods of New Orleans. I would highly recommend this tour.
I was advised before leaving on my trip to go on a horse and cart historical tour so I was extatic and excited to book this tour and ride on the depicted horse and cart. However upon closer inspection of paperwork the night before we embarked the tour was actually on a coach bus. So I was notable disappointed and called the company, they confirmed that the tour was on a bus and offered no apology for the misleading imagery. The tour itself however was very enjoyable, the tour guide was informative not only about local history, cemetery practices and architecture but also about all the best places to visit when in town. He even went so far as to attempt to drop people off at different tourist activities upon conclusion of the tour. This was greatly appreciated by my fellow travellers. Some of whom went on boat cruises and to the world war II museum. Overall a positive experience. However if you are looking for a horse and cart ride, your best bet is to head to Jackson Square where there are mules ready to lead you on a cute little short tour of the French quarter for around 20 per person, with knowledgeable drivers much easier to explore the narrow streets.
An absolutely wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Chris, was exceptional! We highly recommend this tour!!
A must do trip when you visit New Orleans. The tour guide was informative, engaging, entertaining, and made the whole experience wonderful. The bus was clean and comfortable.
Kevin was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, informative, and professional. His commentary made our tour a pleasant experience inNOLA
Great way to see the entire city, in comfort.
Very interesting. Dave was very knowledgeable and offered good information. See Ninth Ward was emotional.
The tour guide was very interesting and easy to hear.
The tour was very comprehensive and covered most of the history and sights of New Orleans.
we had the best tour guide ever - he was so nice and friendly. It was a rainy day but we made the best of it. I would recommend this tour.
The tour guide Gary was very knowledgeable about the city, being a Native New Orleanian. He was able to answer any questions people had, and gave very insightful and little known info about the different parts of the city. Definitely go on this tour if you have a few hours to spare in New Orleans.
Tour is a good way to see the best of New Orleans and hear about its history. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and the van was very comfortable. Well worth the money and time.
Excellent tour of this beautiful city! Our guide Gary was very knowledgeable, interesting and pleasant! Loved the tour of the graveyard and the wonderful beignets we tasted!! Would highly recommend!!
Very informative tour,
Great tour when you dont have alot of time , as you see a little bit of everything.
This is a great way to see New Orleans. The Garden District shows great architecture. The tour guide gave great information about each and every site.
Great experience. Our driver/guide was both personable and informative. Gary brought NOLA to life with his sense of irony. His knowledge of Katrina was incredible and made it very realistic.
The tour was okay. Mainly focused on Katrina information.
I highly recommend this tour. It provided us with a great overview of several city neighborhoods so we could later choose where to focus our attention. The tour of Ward Nine was heartbreaking.
Good introduction to the city. Pick up was on time, comfortable bus. The tour guide is sort of tired of providing the same talk twice a day, very mechanical delivery. It was a good way to see rather scattered areas of the city in a compact tour. We had 2 stops and both were somewhat disappointing. Stop at the cemetery included some free time, but it is hard to know how to use it in this situation. Another stop was at the City park. Everyone was directed by the guide in the eatery, the quality of the food was far from you will get at the French Quarter. On the other side of the square where we stopped in the City park, is a fantastic sculpture garden with incredible, mostly contemporary works. Among those are sculptures by Rodin, Rene Magritte, Anish Kapoor, George Rodrigue, and many others. Sadly guide never mentioned this gem. 20 min stop is a short time, but still you could enjoy the art and beautiful landscaping.
Gary took us through New Orleans by times of its history and development and many interesting tidbits of information. Very interesting tour, comfortable ride, great guide!
excellent tour, especially the cemetery visit.
Tour was good, guide, David, excellent, but there was a major mix up on the pick up promise and we had to reschedule the tour because we were left behind.
Guide, who was also the driver, spoke to fast, very hard to understand. Just drove past sites and did not get chance to take photos. Not recommended
Very good way to get quickly familiar with New Orleans, our guide, Gary was extremely knowledgable and the Katrina part of the tour was very well done. Also the explanation of the attractions caused us to add the WWII museum to our agenda and we were glad we did.
Enjoyable driving tour of the city. Could have spent more time in the Garden District. The graveyard stop was my highlight.
First rate. Very knowledgable guide. Well worth the money.
Very informative tour of the city and the history. Enjoyed the comfort of the bus and the stops that were made throughout the tour.
I DEFINITELY recommend this tour. It had a little of everything so it never got boring.
The pick up and drop off at my hotel was seamless. I just had to call local office for time. The driver was great. Very personable.
The actual tour was informative and well presented. The guide was also nice.
This tour was very good, especially about the area hit by Katrina and the rebuilding efforts since that time. The tour could have been a little bit longer and added a little more as our real reason for taking it was to get a quick birds eye view of the city and then navigate ourselves later on.
Great tour to do at the beginning of your trip! Explained a lot and very helpful in knowing what is a must see in New Orleans.
They were there to pick us up early and knew exactly what they were doing and who their charges were. Excellent, knowledgeable, funny tour guides. I learned a lot and would recommend them to anyone.
This was a great tour! Very informative. Our guide David was superb. Highly recommend.
It was amazing, very educational. We learned a lot with our tour guy. I hope I could remember his name. He is awesome and very nice person.
It was very hot when we were in New Orleans so we opted for an air conditioned bus tour. We actually got to get out at City Park, which was beautiful. We also got out at a graveyard but it started raining so we had to get back on the bus, which was disappointing. The guide was very knowledgeable, we got to see and learn a lot about New Orleans.
The New Orleans City Tour was very informative and learned a lot of great history from it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and entertaining.
Our guide was knowledgeable and funny.
Very informative. The rain hurt me he tour a bit.
transportation came late, we had to call the company to make it clear. the tour itself just okay, feels like only to see the buildings around city, not enough content for this tour.
David is a great. Guide.
This is a must do tour for those who wish to get an idea of the history and geography behind the city they are visiting. The tour is a great opportunity to understand why New Orleans became the major port city in the south why the people came, and why they stayed. The differences in the neighborhoods are reflective of the settlers and the dedication to maintaining the history demonstrates why this is such a sought-out destination. The guide is well informed and takes you to one of the cities of the dead, explaining why people are interred as they are there. There is a wonderful explanation of why the geography of the region allowed New Orleans to suffer the impact of Katrina and what has been done since then to prevent it from happening again. One gets an insider's view of why the 9th ward suffered longer and has still to return to previous condition. The natural wonder, the unique blend of cultures and the dedication to history explains the mystery of New Orleans.
Gary was our guide. He was very personable and knowledgable. Great way to learn about the city and see sections that would otherwise be missed. Thanks Gary!
De toer in de stad was leuk maar door de Katrina verwoeste omgeving was veel te lang.
Best tour guide ever.
would have liked a better tour of the Katrina area
would have liked to get off the bus in the garden district to take some pictures
Great tour, started and ended on time. Driver very informative and I learned a great deal about Katrina which I had not heard about on other tours in the past. He made some great recommendations while we were in town, kept everyone amused and interested. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Our guide, Gary, was outstanding! I have taken a city tour of New Orleans before, but I think Gary's knowledge of the history of the city and the way all the facts were presented with ongoing humor, is what made this tour even better.
Gave me a good overview of New Oreleans I would never have otherwise seen! Was disappointed that there wasn't much of a chance to take photos as only had one day here! Great drivers/guides!
It would have been a great tour of the guide spoke slower. With his heavy southern accent and super fast speech, we could understand about half what he was saying.
Great tour. It covered major sights.
Very good tour with Chris. He knew a great deal about the city and shared his knowledge in an entertaining way.
Guide was knowledgeable and entertaining--as a NOLA native, he had been personally involved in some of the activities we visited. It might be well to more definitively pronounce and spell the word beignet for those of us who are uninitiated.
I thought our tour guide was informative and friendly and went out of his way to make us happy. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have liked to get out of the bus in the garden district as well as Katrina to be able to take some more photos. Taking picyures from the bus was not great.
A really nice overview of New Orleans. The guide was very knowledgeable. The hotel pick-up/drop-off service made the excursion effortless.
Nice tour. Our tour guide, David, was hilarious and informative. We got to stop for lunch at City Park, where I had gator sausage and beignets.
Great overview of the city! We took this tour on our first day in New Orleans and it was well worth it.
Good itinerary and entertaining and knowledgeable guide
Great tour guide!
It was a great tour. A very good way to start a visit to New Orleans . Knowledge tour leader and highlights of the city.
Gary, our driver, was extremely accommodating and very knowledgeable. One of the best tours we had.
The tour was nice and the bus driver/guide was great. I was disappointed that we did not get to see a good part of the Garden District, during the tour the guide did not discuss what happened and what the marks on the houses meant. My friend who was traveling with me this was her first time and she liked the tour but wish had seen more of the Garden District, and was given more information about Katrina. Since she is unable to do a walking tour through the Garden District I thought this would be a good tour for her.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Friendly. Prompt pickup and drop off. Highly recommend!
excellent very knowledgeable guide made the tour enjoyable and educational
As a first timer to New Orleans, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and Tony, the tour guide, was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. It was good to learn about the geography of the city and see the area unfortunately hit by the disastrous hurricane. This was a great way to learn the history of this city. There was a stop at a coffee shop where I could experience the New Orleans beignet. Would highly recommend, especially to those visiting for the first time.
Very Infomative, very friendly, on time and excellent service
This tour gave a great overview of the New Orleans area, including the French Quarter, Garden District. the cemetery and the area affected by Katrina. It was exactly what we were looking for. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Was very interesting and great way to see many sites in a short time and decide what you may want to do back to. Our guide was entertaining and grew up the New Orleans. We saw areas of Katrina that I wouldn't have seen on my own. I would go again.
